Wrexham Glyndwr drama students are staging a festive and uplifting adaptation of the
Charles Dickens play ‘A Christmas Carol’. Except this version has a new and novel ‘twist’.
Evening performances will take place on 5th and 6th December at 7pm in the Catrin Finch Centre with the finale on Saturday 7th December at 3pm. Additional school matinee performances take place at 1pm on Thursday 5th and Friday 6th December.

Director Ellen Mai said: “Yet again we have a very talented group of students. They are
passionate about delivering an outstanding and entertaining performance for the audience whilst showcasing their skills. Ticket prices are set deliberately low to make the production accessible to all in the community.”
Rehearsals started in early November with Directors Elen Mai Nefydd and Jenna Brook.
Niamh McManus, a third year student is Stage Manager. Charles Harris is playing the
indefatigable Ebenezer Scrooge with fellow actors Gemma Ashley, a first year student,
Myles Stephen Halshall, Tom Hindle, Esme Sallinow and Rachel Noble in supporting roles.
Other cast members are to be announced as rehearsals progress.
The production will appeal to all. From primary school children through to great
grandparents. It is a production to span and unite generations.
