Wrexham AFC Enjoy Impressive Victory Against Ebbsfleet United At The Racecourse

Wrexham AFC this afternoon hosted mid-table side Ebbsfleet United where they came off with an impressive 4-1 victory. A minute silence was issued today before the game by the Wrexham AFC, due to the Gresford Disaster.
Wrexham started off strong against Ebbsfleet United with strong a possession. The first goal came in the 6th minute for Wrexham from number 10 Chris Holroyd, which gave Wrexham AFC the confidence to end the first half with astonishing 4-0.
Second Half Ebbsfleet United started off strong, with a goal from a header from Ebbsfleet United’s number 9, Danny Kedwell, which was crossed perfectly from number 11 Myles Weston.
The second half continued to test both sides, with each side applying pressure to both goals. The second half also saw Wrexham (NO. 7 Luke Summerfield) came off from a head clashing challenge from Ebbsfleet United’s Dean Rance. Wrexham AFC mentioned after the game that he had to have stitches in his head.
Wrexham AFC fans are now delighted with the victory as it has helped Wrexham AFC in the hunt to gain the promotion to league two, as the victory has moved the club to 2nd place, with only one point behind league leaders Harrogate Town AFC.
Manager, Sam Ricketts, hails with outstanding performance. He mentions: “For the first half we were Impressive and outplayed the other team. Gutted to concede a goal in the second half, but throughout the second half we gained composure.”
Sam Ricketts also states that he is not just impressed with the starting but impressed with his whole squad and how they worked as a team so far this season. He is not worried about critics questioning about how many goals they scored last season and will think about how his team performs today, where they won with an impressive 4-1 victory over Ebbsfleet United.
Wrexham AFC will travel to Sutton United next Saturday, in hope to carry their impressive start to the season and in hope to make their season a one to remember.
