An Introduction to Wrexham A.F.C
By Alex Whilding, Egwyl Contributor
Here is my introduction to the local team and my team Wrexham A.F.C
I personally have supported the dragons for over 10 years and have been attending regularly for 10 years.
Nickname: The dragons
Colours: Red and White
Manager: Dean Keates
Captain: Shaun Pearson
Ground: Racecourse Ground
So, a little bit about the club, we were formed back in 1864 and, well, the rest is history, from Europe to the National league and FA Cup giant killings. Since being formed we have always played at the Racecourse which, in fact, is the oldest international football ground in the world.
At the moment we play in the National League for the last 10 years. This season’s captain is defender Shaun Pearson. Our main rivals are Chester, although we also have a rivalry with Tranmere.
So, for now I will keep this short and snappy as I am sure you all have heard of us. In the next coming weeks I’ll be posting some reviews, match day reports and interviews with the club, so keep an eye out!
Interested in coming to a game? Our next 2 home games are.
Eastleigh- Saturday 7th October KO:5:30PM
Leyton Orient- Saturday 28th October KO:3:00PM
So, pop along, join in the fun and back the boys!
